Your Role & Impact
As a Senior Associate – Audit & Assurance, you will play a crucial role in our team, driving success for our clients and firm. Your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting supervisors and managers in leading audit engagements in the field
• Properly planning engagements and reviewing audit and accounting work papers to ensure documentation and technical standards are met
• Handling technical audit and accounting matters and preparing accurate, compliant financial statements and disclosures
• Fostering client relationships and acting as a key point of contact during engagements
• Support staff development through mentoring, performance feedback, and participation in training efforts
• Stay informed on changes in accounting and auditing standards, and apply them appropriately to engagements
• Engaging in meaningful projects across industries such as nonprofit, government contracting, construction, and real estate
Your Skills & Experience
We’re looking for driven professionals with a passion for excellence. The ideal candidate will have:
• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university
• 2 – 4 years of public accounting experience, specifically in audit
• CPA license in progress or currently held
• Strong understanding of GAAP, GAAS, and relevant industry regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple engagements in a deadline-driven environment.
Stand-Out Skills
• Experience in not-for-profit, single audit, government contracting, construction, and real estate industries
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Caseware, GFR, Autire, and Deltek
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly present findings and respond to client needs
• Familiarity with online audit research tools and the ability to apply audit efficiency techniques
• A commitment to continuous learning, professional growth, and innovation in audit and assurance.
